River Cruises
River cruises – see Germany from a different perspective!
River cruising is a more leisurely way of taking in the scenic beauty of the towns and landscapes of Saxony-Anhalt. On board the “Sachsen-Anhalt” (operated by Weisse Flotte Magdeburg) up to 210 passengers can take a trip to the Hohenwarte waterway junction, the ship hoist and the Rothensee sluice. The Tangermünde-based Kaiser shipping company offers day trips, mini cruises and night cruises. Liners and cruise ships also operate on the River Saale, the Mittelland Canal, the Mulde Reservoir and the River Unstrut. Enter the “Saalefee” (operated by Bernburg Freizeit GmbH) at Bernburg for a trip to Alsleben, Rothenburg and Kloschwitz. Special occasions are best celebrated on board the “Unstrutnixe”.
