Fishing in the Harz
The Harz region is an attractive tourist destination any time of the year.
Fun and relaxation along the “Blue Ribbon” are offered in Wendenfurth below the Rappode dam, where you can rent pedaling boats and canoes and get one or the other useful fishing tips. Popular activities include trout fishing at Boder river or walking and hiking in the Harz mountains. The famous “Hexenstieg”, for instance, is a 60-mile signposted trail that crosses the Harz mountains from East to West, that is from Saxony-Anhalt to Lower Saxony.
