Jerichow
Prämonstratenserstift "St. Marien Nikolai" Town Church Jerichow
The monastery was founded in the middle of the 12th century and is one of the oldest brick buildings east of the Elbe River The collegiate church was built according to the principles of the “Hirsauer Bauschule” and served as a model for more than 20 churches in the region. The monastery’s museum provides information on the history and role of the monastery. Concerts and exhibitions take place during the summer months.
