A unique organ-scape
Thanks to its wealth of historic instruments, Central Germany also has one of Europe’s most exceptional collection of organs. In the 16th and 17th centuries such famous organ builders as Compenius, Contius, Förner, Fritzsche, Lange, Meyer, Zschugk built their masterpieces in the region. There is a great selection of organ concerts throughout the year and especially during the Organ Summer and the Middle High German Organ Festival. When traveling along the Organ Route you will find exceptional and rare organs by Silbermann, Trost, Hildebrandt and Ladegast.
