Garden Dreams in Halle (Saale)
4 parks and gardens await the visitor to Saxony-Anhalt’s largest city. For Halle’s 1200th anniversary in 2006, the Garden Paradises did rise from their ashes.

Halle is always well worth a visit: Saale river winds its way through high rock faces, Giebichenstein castle towers high above the river, and the pictorial gardens along its shores invite you to take a leisure stroll away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Welcome to Amts Garden!
Only a stone’s throw away is Reichhardts Garden, the Giebichenstein “paradise for poets”, where already Goethe und Novalis enjoyed promenading.
300 years ago, Prussia’s first botanical gardens were laid out in Halle. Worthwhile visiting are the historic showpiece houses and the observatory, built by Langhans, the architect of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
