The fourth station of “Sky Paths” is the monolithic tomb of the dolmen goddess of Langeneichstädt.

Die Dolmengöttin von Langeneichstädt

The dolmen goddess was carved into a 1.76 meter long menhir circa 3,600-2,700 BC and provides evidence of Stone Age people’s beliefs in the afterlife. Scientists have discovered that the sides of the menhir have been worn down through frequent touching. Was this a magical custom?
