Border Experiences in the Green Belt between Altmark and Elbe

GDR Cult Car “Trabant” Offers
For auto excursions in a real Trabi, "Event Touring" offers a Trabant P 601 for hire – suggested routes and maps are included upon request. At "Trabi Abi" (Trabi Diploma), visitors learn the history and technology behind the East German cult car and get the chance to test their driving skills by maneuvering blindfolded through a slalom course or their adroitness at rolling tires. Everyone who passes the test earns a Trabi licence. "Trabi-Safari", on the other hand, offers an exciting orientation drive. Stretches full of driving intrigue lie between the Special Stages.

Cycling Tour "Along the European Green Belt 2009"
(September 2009)
On 17 June 2009, two travel groups will start on a one-of-a-kind adventure, one at the northernmost point and one at the southernmost point in Europe. They will travel along the former border between the eastern and western European countries on bike, a total of over 10,000 kilometres. The northern tour begins at the Barents Sea in Norway; the southern tour starts from the Greek island Corfu. Approximately 5,000 cycled kilometres later and numerous impressions and experiences richer, the two groups will meet in Germany and will cycle to Berlin on October 3rd. There, after their 109-day journey, they will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the wall together. Since not everyone has the time for a 109-day cycling tour, "anders reisen" offers those interested the possibility of participating in this unique travel idea with various thematic stretches. These stretches are actually partial stages of the full tour course and are synchronized to accompany the participants of the full north or south tour. All stretches can be booked individually or combined with other stretches.
