The broschure provides complete and solid information about Saxony-Anhalt - the “Heartland of German History”. Allow us to astonish and impress you with monuments of the architecture of the middle ages along the “Romanesque Road”, idyllic and historic parkways “Garden Dreams” and spectacular archaeological discoveries along the “Sky Paths”. The four UNESCO World Heritage sites are special cultural highlights in Saxony-Anhalt. UNESCO World Heritage sites of such variety and closeness are not to be found anywhere else in Germany.

The 43 most scenic and historically most important parklands and landscaped gardens between Arendsee and Zeiz combine to create Saxony-Anhalt's "Garden Dreams". These treasures of garden art and landscape design invite the visitor to take a stroll and marvel at the unique blend of nature & art. Take time out and lose yourself in the beauty of the "Garden Dreams"!

A wealth of culture, historical places of international significance, impressive architecture and diverse landscapes are all to be found in Central Germany, the cradle of German history and culture.
Ignoring state boundaries, the states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia have got together under the heading “Cultural Heart of Germany".
The "Cultural Heart of Germany" brochure provides information on Central Germany as the historical and cultural heart of Germany, showing it to be an extremely attractive travel destination. In the brochure six interstate routes are recommended where places of historical interest are linked; a wide range of information is given covering castles and gardens, art, culture and food. The region’s rich musical tradition is particularly highlighted. In addition, visitors are invited to explore the countryside on nostalgic narrow-gauge railways and to discover the Christmas spirit at Germany’s cultural heart.
