Dine like Knights!
In Saxony-Anhalt many towns along the Romanesque Road offer its guests the opportunity to dine like the old knights did.
Spear the meat and vegetables using a dagger and slurp the soup from the bowl …. Medieval feasts are offered at the restaurant inside Rudelsburg castle in Bad Kösen in the south of Saxony-Anhalt. The castellan serves all kinds of hearty dishes – prepared according to old recipes – , makes sure everyone sticks to the knightly table manners and knights those who follow the rules of the game exceptionally well. At Wasserschloss Hotel in Dedeleben/Harz the medieval banquet is best combined with a short-break stay. The table is laid in the 800-year old Brewery and Knights Cellar of Westerburg castle. There is live entertainment including games and minnesang between courses.
