Magdeburg Telemann Festival
Every two years music lovers from all over the world flock to Magdeburg to attend the Telemann Festival.
The first festival to the honor of the famous baroque composer and musician Georg Philip Telemann, who was born in Magdeburg on March 14, 1681, was held in 1962. Since 1990 the Telemann Festival is being staged on a biannual basis. Visitors can be looking forward to demanding music performed by top international interpreters. Next date: March 7 to 15, 2009
