Bernburg - cultural gem at the very heart of Germany
Bernburg - which consisted of three villages in former times, looks back on a varied history which is told by a whole variety of historic buildings including the Renaissance castle, the Baroque castle church (formerly the Romanesque basilica), late-romantic village church of St. Stephani and the former Augustinian monastery to mention but a few.
The former duchy of Anhalt with its vast cultural heritage and the nearby Saaleaue nature reserve, make our town and region worth more than just one visit.
