Living history & natural beauty
Magdeburger Börde is one of Germany's most fertile regions.
The Elbe river crosses the entire region and gives it much of its unique atmosphere. It is a winding river of varying depth and gravel river banks - if you're lucky you might even see beavers at work. The Elberadweg cycling trail is a wonderful chance to discover this exciting area.
Tourist attractions include Germany's oldest brine spa, the Solebad in Schönebeck/Bad Salzelmen, the Oschersleben motor sports park and the unique moorland around Colbitz and Letzlingen. The Romantic Road around Magdeburg also leads to many attractions.
