One of the city’s most famous attractions is the Magdeburg Dome. It was the first dome constructed in Gothic style in Germany and today buries the remains of King Otto the Great. The city’s oldest building is the Roman Unser Lieber Frauen monastery. New attractions include the Millenium tower, which features an interactive exhibition, and the Magdeburg “Wasserstrassenkreuz”, which boasts the world’s longest canal bridge.
